AC Line Repair Kits: The Permanent Solution to Leaking A/C Lines
Pinched, cracked, chafed, or rotted AC line? Our compression splice kits repair the damaged section permanently — no crimping machine, no special tools, no shop labor. From $39. Works on any vehicle. Backed by a lifetime warranty.

Don't replace the entire AC line. EZ Flex splice it, fix it for good, and forget it.
If you’ve discovered a puddle of neon green dye under your vehicle or heard the hissing sound of refrigerant escaping, you know the frustration of a leaking A/C line. But when you call the dealership or the parts store, the news often gets worse: the replacement line costs hundreds of dollars, is on backorder, or—worst of all—is completely discontinued.
You don't need a brand-new factory line to get your air conditioning blowing cold again. With Auto Cooling Solutions' AC Line Repair Kits (EZ Flex), you can repair just the damaged section of the line. Whether it’s a pinhole leak from corrosion, a crack from vibration fatigue, or a "rub-through" spot, our universal repair kits provide a permanent, pressure-rated fix that saves you time, money, and sanity.

Best Alternative to Replacing AC Lines!
1. Massive Cost Savings
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) AC lines are notoriously expensive. Complex aluminum bends and specific mounting brackets drive the price up. A full line replacement often costs between $1200 and $2400 for the repair. Our AC Line Repair Kits allow you to fix the problem for a fraction of that cost, typically under $50.
2. Drastically Reduced Labor Time
Factory AC lines are often installed before the engine is dropped into the chassis. This means removing them can require dismantling the dashboard, removing the bumper, or even lifting the engine. By using a splice kit, you only work on the accessible, damaged section. Cut out the bad spot, splice in the new kit, and you're done in minutes, not hours.
3. Solves the "Discontinued Part" Nightmare
For older vehicles, finding a replacement line is often impossible. Auto Cooling Solutions specializes in keeping these vehicles on the road. Our kits are universal based on line diameter, meaning if you have a standard 3/8", 1/2", or 5/8" line, we have a repair kit that fits, regardless of the Make, Model, or Year.

Understanding the "EZ Flex" Advantage
Not all AC line repair methods are created equal. Traditional "compression unions" (rigid metal splices) require the two ends of your cut line to align perfectly. If there is any tension, vibration, or misalignment, those rigid splices will leak again.
The Auto Cooling Solutions Difference: Flexibility.

Our AC Line Repair kits feature a high-pressure rubber ac hose section crimped between two heavy-duty aluminum fittings. This flexible design offers three critical advantages:
- Vibration Dampening: The rubber section absorbs engine vibration, preventing the fatigue cracks that killed your original aluminum line.
- Misalignment Correction: If you need to cut out a bent section of tubing, our flexible kit bridges the gap easily, even if the ends don't line up straight.
- Routing Freedom: Reroute lines away from rubbing points or hot exhaust manifolds to prevent future failure.
How to Identify the Right Repair Kit for Your Vehicle
Since our kits are universal, you don't look them up by "2010 Chevy Tahoe." Instead, you look them up by the Outside Diameter (O.D.) of your aluminum AC line. Here is the industry standard sizing guide:
| AC System Size | Tube O.D. (Inches) | Common Application | ACS Kit Series |
|---|---|---|---|
| #6 | 3/8" (0.375") | Liquid Lines (High Side) | TR6 Series |
| #8 | 1/2" (0.500") | Discharge Lines | TR8 Series |
| #10 | 5/8" (0.625") | Suction Lines (Low Side) | TR10 Series |
| #12 | 3/4" (0.750") | Heavy Duty | TR12 Series |
| #8m | 5/16" (0.312") | Discharge / Suction | TR8m Series |
| #12mm | 15/32" (0.47") | Discharge / Suction | TR12m Series |
| #14.5mm | 9/16" (0.57") | Heavy Duty | TR14.5m Series |
Tip: Use a caliper to measure the aluminum line near the leak. If you don't have a caliper, a standard open-end wrench can be used as a "go/no-go" gauge to estimate the size.

Installation Guide:
How to Fix a Leaking Car AC Line in 4 Steps
Whether you are a professional mechanic or a DIY enthusiast, our kits are designed for straightforward installation.
Step 1: Locate and Cut
Identify the leaking section. Using a tubing cutter (recommended for a clean cut) or a fine-tooth hacksaw, remove the damaged portion of the aluminum line. Important: Measure the length of the repair kit you purchased (e.g., 6", 12", 24") and ensure you don't cut out a section larger than the kit can bridge.
Step 2: Deburr and Clean (CRITICAL)
This is the most important step. After cutting, the aluminum tube will have sharp edges. Use a file or deburring tool to smooth the outer edge. If you leave sharp edges, they will slice the internal O-rings of the connector during installation, causing a leak.
Step 3: Install the Compression Ring
Slide the nut and the ferrule (compression ring) onto the aluminum tube. Insert the tube into the repair kit's end until it bottoms out. Slide the ferrule and nut up to the threads.
Step 4: Tighten and Recharge
Using two wrenches (one to hold the body, one to turn the nut), tighten the compression fitting. The ferrule will crush down onto the aluminum tube, creating a 360-degree seal that can withstand high refrigerant pressures. Once both sides are secure, vacuum the system to remove moisture and recharge with refrigerant.

Is an AC Line Repair Kit what you need?
Sometimes, the leak is in the rear lines of a van or SUV (like a Dodge Caravan, Tahoe, or Explorer), and the cost to repair the OEM tubing isn't worth it. If you want a quality replacement for the rear AC lines, our Rear AC Line Set is your answer. If you rarely use the rear AC, consider our Rear AC Block Off Kits. These cap off the lines leading to the rear, saving the front AC function without the hassle of chasing leaks underneath the vehicle.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Are these repair kits compatible with R134a and R1234yf?
Yes, the hoses and seals used in Auto Cooling Solutions repair kits are compatible with all standard automotive refrigerants and oils, including R134a and the newer R1234yf.
Can I use this on the high-pressure side?
Absolutely. Our kits are rated for the high pressures found in the discharge and liquid lines, as well as the lower pressures of the suction line.
Do I need a special crimping tool?
No! That is the beauty of our system. The "crimp" is already done at our factory on the flexible hose section. You only need standard wrenches to tighten the compression fittings onto your existing aluminum lines.
Can you repair an AC line instead of replacing it?
Absolutely — and it's easier than you might think! That's exactly why we created these automotive AC line repair kits. Working alongside our sister auto repair shop, we saw this problem walk through the door time and time again. Replacement lines can cost hundreds of dollars — just for a single line segment — so we knew there had to be a smarter solution.
Our splice kit wasn't just designed to fix the problem, it was designed to fix it right. Here's what sets it apart:
- Flexibility that lasts — The primary rubber hose body absorbs road vibrations and engine movement, so your repair holds up long-term instead of failing down the road.
- Bend it to fit — Unlike rigid replacement lines, our kit lets you curve the splice to match your vehicle's routing, making installation clean and straightforward.
- Real shop-tested results — This isn't a garage experiment. It's a solution born from a working repair shop that needed something reliable enough to stand behind with customers.
Why pay for an expensive replacement line when a professional-grade repair is within reach? Our kit gives you the confidence of a lasting fix at a fraction of the cost.
How long does an AC line repair kit last?
Short answer? For the life of your vehicle — and we back that up in writing. We're so confident in the durability of our AC line repair kits that we offer a lifetime warranty on every one. That's not a marketing gimmick — it's a reflection of how these kits are built and what we've seen them do in the real world. When installed correctly, our kit is designed to outlast the vehicle itself. The rubber hose body is built to handle the constant heat cycles, pressure, and vibration that an AC system endures year after year. This isn't a temporary patch — it's a permanent repair. Here's why it holds up:
- Pressure-rated construction — Built to withstand the demands of an automotive AC system mile after mile
- Vibration resistant — The flexible rubber body moves with your vehicle instead of fighting it, preventing the stress cracks and failures that plague rigid repairs
- Lifetime warranty — If it ever fails due to a defect, we make it right. Period.
The only condition? Proper installation. Follow the instructions, and you'll likely never think about that AC line again. That's the kind of repair — and the kind of product — we're proud to put our name on.
